PACKAGING TYPE.

A classification system can be established based on the materials used in packaging, such as plastic, glass, and metal. Additionally, this system can categorize packaging according to its usage, which can be divided into three main types: primary packaging, secondary packaging, and tertiary packaging.

Primary packaging refers to the materials that directly envelop the product, secondary packaging serves to group together multiple primary packages, and tertiary packaging is designed for bulk handling and transportation purposes.

This dual approach to classification not only highlights the material composition but also the functional roles that different types of packaging play in the supply chain.
